Lee and Jones matched up in the first semifinal match, with Lee easily taking the lead with successful shots such as the “Evil Knievel” shot and the “Sneaky 8 Ball” shot.  When the skill shots division began, Lee made an excellent o­ne-handed jump shot to increase her lead to 7-4.  She earned o­ne more point before mathematically eliminating Jones and winning the semifinals 8-4.

In the second match, Laurance and Ng met, and “The Striking Viking” took the lead with classic shots like “Just Showin’ Off,” “Machine Gun,” and “Passing Lane” and soon was ahead 8-3.  Both ladies scored two more points in the skill shot division, but Ng missed both attempts o­n her last skill shot, mathematically making Laurance the winner 9-5.

The final match, with its huge payout of $25,000 to the winner, saw no o­ne score a point for the first two shots, but Lee got o­n the board with her “Banana” shot that she renamed “The Black Widow” shot, where she curved the cue ball through a large, stuffed spider o­n the table.  She retained the lead throughout the match while Laurance struggled.  Laurance narrowed the gap to 6-4 when she successfully executed o­ne of Lee’s rotation shots after her opponent failed and came within a point with her “Color of Money” shot.  Lee pulled ahead again with a nice bank-kick shot, and Laurance came with the “Passing Lane” shot to make it 8-7 Lee.  A couple of misses by both brought it down to the wire, with Laurance making her last skill shot, where she had to jump over and then spin under the bridge.  She missed both attempts and gave the match to Lee, who was the 8-7 winner.
