"The Lion" in the Lead at Hard Times
By InsidePOOL Staff

AlexPagulayanweb.JPGAlex "The Lion" Pagulayan won the hot seat match with a decisive 9-5 victory over Charlie Bryant earlier this afternoon.  This is the last day of action at the Summer Jamboree at Hard Times in Sacramento, CA.  The winner of the 9-ball event takes home $5,000, enough to cause most players to bear down and play their best pool

In the one-loss bracket, Ismael "Morro" Paez defeated Jerry Matchin 9-7, sending him home with fifth place, while Nick Kruger eliminated recent Reno Open champion and newlywed John Schmidt 9-7.  Schmidt tied with Matchin for fifth place.

Paez went on to oust Kruger from the running in the match for fourth place by the score of 9-3.  He goes on to challenge Bryant in the match to determine who goes on and who ends up in third place.
