The Second Annual Master Billiard Big Apple 9-Ball Challenge Sets Date for Qualifier

Qualifying Players Receive Free Entry Into Big Apple 9-Ball Challenge


littleapple.jpgQueens, New York June 16, 2004.  Master Billiard & Café, located at 39-01 Queens Boulevard, Queens, New York 11104, 718.706.6789, will host a Qualifier for The Big Apple 9-Ball Challenge o­n Saturday, July 17, 2004.

This Qualifier is open to any player.  The entry fee is $50.  Players will be divided into groups of eight (8).  The format will be single elimination, races to 9, no handicap, alternating break, and jump cues of 40 inches or more are allowed.  Players may break from anywhere behind the headstring.

The winning player in each group will receive a free entry into The Big Apple 9-Ball Challenge.

Entry fees in each group will be allocated as follows: $50 entry x 8 players = $400.  $300 subsidizes the winning player’s entry into The Big Apple 9-Ball Challenge and the remaining $100 will be utilized to help fund the expenses of the tournament.

Play will begin at 11 a.m.  Free practice time will begin at 10 a.m.
