Top Pro Players Corr & Kelly Earn BCA Instructor Status by InsidePOOL Magazine

JulieKellyBCAInstructor.jpgCurrently, there are 241 participants in the BCA Instructor Program. The program's mission is to raise the quality of billiard instruction, make it available to everyone who desires to increase their abilities and encourage a lifetime enjoyment in cue sports. Candidates enter the program at the Recognized Instructor level and advance through the program by meeting various requirements in continuing education, written tests, practical tests, student feedback forms and Master Instructor evaluations. In general, an instructor must serve at least two years at one level in order to advance to the next, although a "fast-track" program is available to instructors who show that they are especially effective in teaching methodologies.

Bob Radford, Chairman of the BCA Instructor Committee and owner of Cue U in Rockford, IL, invites all those interested in teaching to consider the BCA's program. "By becoming BCA pool instructors, accomplished players have a unique opportunity to contribute to the dynamic growth of the billiard industry," Mr. Radford said. "The BCA certified instructor has demonstrated that he or she has the tools to assist players of all skill levels to move their game to a higher level."

To locate a BCA Instructor or Master Academy near you, please visit the "Play" section of the BCA website.  To obtain more information on joining the BCA Instructor Program, please contact Kathy Simmons at kathy-simmons@bca-pool.com.
