sml9balllogo.jpgSML Entertainment's 9-Ball Championship just got a boost as top-ranked UPA touring pros Johnny "The Scorpion" Archer and Corey Deuel have joined the field.  Canada's own Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan, who is also the defending champion, has already committed to competing for the $10,000 first-place prize at the April 19-23 tournament.

The event will take place at the Olympic Oval on the campus of the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, with a field of up to 128 players vying for a prize pool of $35,000.  SML's marketing director, Dean Fisher, said the city and players are all anticipating the event.  "Our tournament continues to attract top-ranked nine-ball players."

The tournament will be a double-elimination, race-to-11 format, with the finals being one race to 15.  There will be twelve 9' Brunswick tables on location for the competition.

SML Entertainment is a Calgary-based business that operates Canada's largest pool leagues and hosts the country's biggest pool tournaments.  The company is recognized as western Canada's premier supplier of entertainment products, including pool accessories, air hockey games, foosball tables, pinball machines, jukeboxes, and game room furniture.
