U.S. Bar Table Championship Event in Reno by InsidePOOL Magazine
 

What began with 115 players now has whittled down to 24.  The U.S. Bar Table Championships kicked off at the Sands Regency Casino in Reno o­n Thursday, March 6, 2003, and will end sometime tonight.  The $20,000-added event will pay out $5,000 for first place and $3,000 for second.

Remaining o­n the winners' side of the bracket in the 9-ball event are Jose Parica, Nick Kruger, Jeff Heath, Ken Richardson, Glenn Atwell, Stan Tourangeau, Scott Tollefson, and Danny Medina.  o­n the o­ne-loss side are Jesse Bowman, the BCA Master Champion for 2002; Frankie Hernandez; Chris McDonald; Vince Todesco; Canadian resident Edwin Montal; Ike Reynolds; and Hungarian Sandor Tot, who was defeated earlier by Glenn Atwell.

The 8-ball event will begin Saturday, March 8, and end the following day.  All 128 spots in this event are spoken for.
