Efren "The Magician" Reyes, recent Hall of Fame inductee in July, suffered his first loss to "Rocket" Rodney Morris earlier this afternoon.  He missed several key balls throughout the match, which was still quite close throughout.  Morris has been playing superb pool all week, and with several break-and-runs and the mistakes o­n Reyes' part, he soon took the 10-7 lead.  Reyes won o­ne more rack after that, but then he missed the 7 ball in the last, leaving Morris an easy three-ball run-out for the 11-8 win.

Jeremy Jones, recent three-time winner of the Texas Open over Labor Day weekend, defeated Fabio Petroni 11-8 in the winners' bracket, and defending champion Ralf Souquet is currently battling with Jose Parica in the last winners' bracket match.
