White is Right in Athens

By Bill Rosenberger

Brian White captured the J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour on December 18-19, 2004, at Murphy's Brass Rail in Athens, GA.  White bounced back from the one-loss side to reclaim the victory over Jim Jennings 11-7.

White was knocked to the left side on Sunday, but he came back with a tough win over Bruce Berrong 9-6 and close victory over Marty Jennings 9-1 to reach the finals against Jim Jennings.

Jim Jennings was undefeated and sitting in the finals after a tight hot seat match win over his son Marty 9-8.  In the finals, White and Jennings battled back and forth early, with neither player gaining the edge.  But White rallied late and cruised to an 11-7 victory, taking home $660 for the first-place finish.

Results:

1st Brian White $660

2nd Jim Jennings $500

3rd Marty Jennings $350

4th Bruce Berrong $250
