The announcement came following a meeting between Doug White, ESPN Programming Director, and Nigel Oldfield, WPBA’s Commercial and Media Director, along with Women’s Pro Billiard Tour Director of Operations, Peg Ledman. Said Doug White, "Women's billiards has proven to be a great draw for TV sports fans. It made sense to grow the scope of our relationship with the WPBA. ESPN and WPBA have enjoyed a great relationship since 1993 and this is set to grow over the next three years as we expand our coverage of women’s billiards."Mr. Oldfield added, “We’re excited that ESPN has offered to increase its coverage of women’s pro billiards.
