WORLD 9 BALL POOL CHAMPIONSHIP TAIPEI - JULY 2004 - HOTEL INFORMATION On behalf of Matchroom we are pleased to offer a selection of city hotels within walking distance of the Taipei World Trade Centre venue. Taipei City is categorised into ‘Sectors’, the World Trade Centre is in Sec.5 on the border with Sec.4 to the west of the City, main rail station and river. CKS International Airport (TPE) is located 25 miles (40 kilometres) of the city centre. The journey by road can take between 45 to 60 minutes according to traffic. Most of the larger hotels operate shuttle services (which they charge for) and there is also a public shuttle that runs to the main railway station. HOTELS As in Cardiff we have allocations of rooms at the following properties at special rates. In Taipei, the rates usually advertised are on a room only basis with additional charges for breakfast, tax and a service charge. Typically, service charge is an additional 10%. However, all the rates Shooting Star offers include tax, breakfast and service charge. All rates are quoted in Taiwan Dollars (NT$) with conversions in US Dollars and GB Sterling as a guide. When you settle your bill with the hotel the prevailing exchange rate at the time will apply as will any change to their State tax.  HYATT - Adjacent to the World Trade Centre is the Grand Hyatt 5 star hotel at No. 2, Sung Shou Road, Sec 5. 856 Guest rooms, six restaurants, the Oasis Fitness Club which features a temperature controlled swimming pool with underwater stereo sound, a fully equipped gymnasium, aerobics studio, massage parlour and the Ziga Zaga Club!

The Hyatt advise their rates vary from NT$2000 for 1 to 3 people, up to NT$4800 for over 16 people. The Agora offer Limousines at NT$1800 or Mini-busses at NT$1900. The Royal Garden will provide quotes on application. All prices are per vehicle, each journey.
