THE BICYCLE CASINO, JANUARY 4-9 2005.

Six Day Public Event--The final day to be televised o­n ESPN Worldwide--presents The United Poolplayers Association (UPA) Pro-Tour Championship featuring: from the USA, 4 time World 9-Ball & U.S. Open Champion Johnny Archer; Canada, 2004 World 9-Ball Champion Alex Pagulayan & National Champion “Machine Gun” Luc Salvas; The Philippines, World 9-Ball Champion Efren Reyes; Finland, World & 2003 UPA Champion Mika Immonen; Germany, World & U.S. Open 9-Ball Champion Ralf Souquet; Korea, Young Hwa Jeong #1 Korean National Champion and 2 time medalist at Asian Games; U.S.A., World Artistic Pool Champion Mike Massey.

What: The Bicycle Casino hosts the world's greatest pool players for the United Poolplayers Association's (UPA) Pro Tour Championship. This major pro 9-ball event is the 2004 season finale where tour points will be tallied, the Pro Tour Champion will be determined, and then honored at The UPA Year End Awards Banquet.

When: Tuesday, January 4. 2005. 7p.m. “Meet the Champions” Press party and Player Introductions. Open Buffet. Celebrity 9-Ball Challenge and Trick Shot Demonstration by World Artistic Pool Champion Mike Massey and U.S. Open Champion & Asian Games Gold Medalist Jeanette “The Black Widow” Lee. Complimentary to the press; admission to the public is $25. Doors open at 7p.m.

Wednesday, January 5, 2005 - Sunday, January 9, 2005. The United Poolplayers Association(UPA) Pro Tour Championship.

Wednesday, January 5, 2005 - Saturday, January 8, 2005. Sessions are at 12a.m. and 7p.m. Doors open at 11.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. daily. Admission is $10 daytime, $15 evenings, and $20 VIP seating per session.

Sunday, January 9, 2005. Final Day featuring: 2 Semi-final matches and Final match play. Doors open at 11.30 a.m. Play commences at noon. Admission is $20.

Sunday, January 9, 2005. The UPA Year End Awards Banquet. Doors open 7p.m. Admission is $25.

Season passes are available for $100 and include the “Meet the Champions” Press Party.

Sixty-four players, including a stellar cast of international 9-Ball superstars, will be vying for over $50,000 in prize money. Some of the top USA players include:

 •  Johnny Archer (Atlanta, GA): The Scorpion - #1 ranked in the USA, 4 time World    Champion, and former U.S. Open Champion.
•  Charlie Williams (Orlando, FL): The Korean Dragon - #2 ranked in the USA and multiple UPA Tour Stop winner.
 •  Rodney Morris (Honolulu, HI): The Rocket - #3 ranked in the USA and winner of The 2003 World Pool League (Poland).
 •  Tony Robles (NY, NY): The Silent Assassin - #5 ranked in the USA and 2004 BCA Open 9-Ball Champion

This event will also present top international players including:
 
•  Efren Reyes (Manila, Philippines): The Magician - #1 ranked in the Phillipines, former World Champion, and, arguably, the greatest player of all time.
 •  Ralf Souquet (Manching, Germany): The Kaiser - #1 ranked player in Germany; former World Champion & US Open Champion.
 •  Mika Immonen (Helsinki, Finland): The Iceman - #1 ranked player in Europe; former World Champion and current UPA Tour Champion.
•  Francisco Bustamante (Manila, Philippines): Django - Former Player of the Year and multiple international event winner.
 •  Young Hwa Jeong (Seoul, Korea): Spice Man - #1 Korean National Champion and 2 time medalist at Asian Games.
 •  Luc Salvas (Montreal, Canada): Machine Gun Luc - Multiple Canadian National Champion.

A strong cast of local LA and California players will compete including national ranked touring professionals: Max Eberle, Jose Parica, Morro Paez, Tang Hoa, Ernesto Dominguez, and Dave Hemmah.

New pop duo JELL will also appear and perform songs inspired by POOL from their latest CD release.

The  Final day UPA Pro Tour Championship will be taped live for worldwide broadcast o­n ESPN.
