Default View accounting info

When I go to the managers menu to view accounting info I get an error message that says "BBSNetMgr Object Variable or With block variable not set 91 also the drawer isn't opening and receipts are not printing.

Just received this error: "Invalid SQL statement expected -'DELETE', 'INSERT', 'PROCEDURE', 'SELECT' or 'UPDATE' Error - 2147217900" and then the drawer opened and a receipts printed.

Any suggestions?

Default Error code 91

First, please check your version number from the About Sales Tracker Menu in the Other menu. Include that # with your bug report.

Usually the error code 91 pops up because of a corrupt database file. Run the database maintenance utility from the Billiard Business Solutions section of your Windows menus: Start: All Programs: Billiard Business Solutions: Database Maintenance.

I'll need more information to help you there. Along with the version number, please include what you were doing right before this error message popped up.

Regards,

Henry

Default View Accounting Info error

The version I have is 2.2.18 on vista. I tried the database maintenance and it gave me more error codes. One was for membership.mdb then another for ratesetup.mdb then there was another one but I will give that to you tomorrow when I go to Chalk It Up to work on the computer again. I haven't been able to duplicate the other error I told you about.

Thank you for your help.

As I stated earlier my version is 2.2.18 on vista. the maintenance data base error is #3015 membership.mdb isn't an index in this table. the other items it says this error code for are: ratesetup.mdb, ratesetupbak.mdb and tabs.mdb. I am still having a problem with the original error code #91. What are your suggestions now?

It may be that your Data Access Components was not set up properly in the install.

Using the Windows Explorer type in the following into the Address Bar and press enter:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%
That should leave you in the
Quote:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINNT
directory. That may be AllUsers.Windows?

Change into the Billiard Business Solutions folder and right click on the MDAC_TYP.EXE file. Run this with administrator privileges and do a complete install of the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC_TYP.EXE).

I did what you asked then shut down the machine. when it started up I went into bbs and it said the program was shut down wrong and to do database maintenance. I did database maintenance which gave me the same errors for the same database files (#3015) then opened the program again. I tried to view accounting info and I came up with "BBSNetMgr Object variable or with block variable no set 91". All through this when I get the #91 error I can't release the program at all I have to go into task manager to shut the program down.

Default same errors

IF the database maintenance tool isn't working, then the database files most likely are not repairable. Or someone has changed the location of the database files by mistake.

In the manager's menu under the database tasks choose the set database location menu: By default the selected directory is the c:\Program Files\Billiard Business Solutions folder.

You should have at least the following files: general.mdb, membership.mdb, menu.mdb, PlayDebit.mdb, ratesetup.mdb, Receipts.mdb, Register.mdb, SalesReg.mdb, Tablesetup.mdb, Tabs.mdb, and Wait.mdb.

But once a file is coming up with an error in the database maintenance program, usually it is beyond repair. It may be possible to repair the file, but it's usually easier to rename the files that are at fault to a different name such Menu.orig for Menu.mdb, SalesReg.orig for Sales.mdb. Restart the program and the installer program should detect that those files are missing and install a fresh copy.

I tried your suggestion but it did not work and I still come up with the same errors. Should I remove your software then start all over again but use our backup to replace dollar values etc?

Default Possible solution

If this error occurs while collecting a table, it may be because some tables have not been created.

Try clicking on the Pause Player Icon on the bottom row. If you haven't used the pause function before, I believe that error
Quote:
"Invalid SQL statement expected -'DELETE', 'INSERT', 'PROCEDURE', 'SELECT' or 'UPDATE' Error - 2147217900"
comes from closing out the table. The program checks for these tables and that message pops up when it finds that those Pause Tables have not yet been created. Should correct this in the next update. But for now, just click on the Pause Player Icon on the bottom row. That should create those missing tables and that message should go away. It's just a harmless error message.

Someone else reported this and was able to track it down here using their database files. Should be fixed in 2.2.19.
This update will fix that reported problem. I believe your problem may be the same. But let me know.
