Billiard Business Solutions recently added new icon graphics to the upper and lower toolbars of the Billiard Business Solutions program. The current version now stands at 2.1.72. If you haven't updated recently within the last couple months, please register on the downloads section and download the full version: BBSSetup.exe.

If you have downloaded recently, you may downloaded a smaller installation file at this location: http://www.definitivesynergy.com/documents/Update.msi. If you are prompted to remove or repair your installation, remove the installation and then restart the Update.msi file.

Your database files should remain intact insuring that you do not lose any current running tables or totals.

Billiard Business Solutions now has the ability to change the final rate. Manager's have often asked us: "Can I change the rate when the customer comes to pay? Sometimes I want to give that person a discount, but I forgot to include it at the start?"

Previously we had to answer no. But now the software provides that option. In the online help file, accessible by pressing F1, you can read the explanation on how to apply a different rate code or even put in a manual entry for the final amount.

This should provide a valuable option to owners. Also, security measures have been provided. The owner can view the rate change transactions from the manager's menu. This provides accountablility. The owner can track the times and codes of each rate change transaction.

Some users had reported some problems using the remove player and problems displaying the accounting view in Billiard Business Solutions. Version 2.1.92 provides updates for these problems and also includes updates for the Tab Screens.

Users can now view the total of a tab without having to open up the receipt. Just clicking on the Player Tab will bring up the total now. This should save time allowing the manager to give a quick total to the customer with just one click of the mouse.

Update added for international users. International users having trouble updating their table rates data should now be able to do so.

Some countries use a different symbol for the decimal point and that should now be detected and the country's decimal character allowed for user input on the Set Table Rates form. Also, a bug in setting the font size for the table in the Table Layout sections for international users has been rectified.

Any comments on any other problems inputting data from countries outside the United States are welcome.

Apparently, recent system software updates have disabled the use of a control in our Billiards Program. Now using the built in Windows System Application Program Interface (API) call to start the program.

If your Sales Tracker will not start from the Billiards Program but will start from the Billiard Business Solutions section from the Start Menu Programs, then this update should correct that problem.

Billiard Business Solutions has been updated to 2.2.27 and Sales Tracker to 2.1.1

In the billiards program, the user may choose how he prints out the receipts to reflect his preference in naming the the receipt as a ticket or an invoice. He also may set the charge as a charge to a name of his choosing: i.e. room instead of table.

Please, see the help file in the Quick Receipt section. Look for the Using different receipt options section.

Also, Sales Tracker's Accounting View has been updated. The Total Sales Amount has been coordinated with the totals of the items sold from the menu items.

New update's are out.

Mostly changes to keep the program compatible with the newer operating systems like Vista, Vista64, XP64, etc.

Now the data will be stored in the user's Application Data Folder instead of the Program Files Folder. This change
keeps the program in line with Microsoft's recommendation of storing user's data in their own folder.

To view the user's Application Data folder you can put the following in the location bar and press enter: %APPDATA%. Look for the Billiard Business Solutions folder and you should find the db folder that stores the database files in that location.

Older programs should continue to use their old folder location in the Program Files area, but can change that location with the Set database location menu in the Manager's menu.
