Frequency of upgrades:

Billiard Business Solutions performs upgrades on its software on a regular basis: usually on the average of 1 or 2 features are added per month. Users are encouraged to submit their requests for upgrades either by phone to the technical support number or by posting their requests on the forum. Recent support for Billiard Business Solutions Networked (BBS) includes hardware support for the latest Epson and Star Micronics printers. Support has been added for Smarthome's Insteon USB computer light control module.

Recent upgrades: 

  • May 25, 2007. Drop down lists added to open and close tables on the top tool bar. Amount tendered and change added to receipts for Billiard Business Solutions and Sales Tracker Networked.
  •  May 7 2007. New icon graphics were added to the upper and lower toolbars to help user navigation and to add a more pleasing appearance.
  • June 14, 2007. Ability to change the initial rate has been added. Manager's may manually enter a final charge for a player or change the original rate code. Rate code changes will be monitored in the database and a listing of the manager's rate changes can only be accessed in the manager's menu.
  • June 25, 2007. Sales Tracker Accounting View now totals each Menu Category: useful for reporting purposes. Managers are able to keep track of totals on item groups based on the Menu Items. Report will now print out on a regular receipt printer in 1 column without printing out items with no sales.
  • July 25, 2007. Billiard Business Solutions has updated the View Accounting Info screen. Manager's may now keep track of Pool Tabs for the manager specified date ranges--either one day or a range of dates. Click on the link for a preview of the new features. The report should prove to be useful for tax reporting purposes as well as to track business revenues for specific time periods. If you're not a registered user, please register to download the latest software. Latest version is now at 2.1.84.
  • September 26, 2007. Updated Accounting View. Fixed bug in day range. Updated receipt printout: now shows date format for time starting in 12 hour format. Reported September 26 by Don Martin. Version 2.1.90. Download the update here.
  • October 4, 2007 Updated Billiard Business Solutions and Sales Tracker Tab screens. Both screens now show customer total  and retrieve customer information when clicking on the customer name in the tab list. Version 2.1.90 in BBS and 2.0.85 in Sales Tracker.
  • October 10, 2007 Updated Billiard Business Solutions to 2.1.91. Bug in Accounting view fixed when no tax was present in report.. Download the update here.
  • February 18, 2008 Updated Billiard Business Solutions to 2.2.1. Fixed some reported bugs on calculation of special codes under certain situations. Also, added support for adding member pictures and a custom background to the main display screen. Help file reflects instructions on how to add pictures for members in the membership tracker as well as how to add your own custom background for the tables. Download the update here.
  • February 23, 2008 Updated Billiard Business Solutions to 2.2.3. Updated further issues with rate calculations on special rate codes; also added a default background for Billiard Business Solutions. Download the update here.
  • March 25, 2008 Updated Billiard Business Solutions 2.2.7. Added links to Video Tutorials in the Help Menu. Added updates for tracking inventory in Sales Tracker. And updated collecting of Sales on a Table. Now Sales must be collected before moving last player from a table. Future updates are plans to assign Sales to a particular player when transferring sales to a table in Sales Tracker. Download the update here.

What about upgrades on the billiards and POS software?

Upgrades are free. Simply download the upgrade from the downloads area and run the install. Your software will be upgraded for free. To view the contents of the upgrades, visit the support forums to check out the latest added features and fixes.

Please check your current version of the software before installing the updates. Click on the Other menu and go to About Billiard Business Solutions. You should see the version number. If the repair or remove options appear when doing the upgrade, please choose the remove option and then run the Update.msi program again.

Can I add retail sales to a pool table or start a tab?

Yes you can. Simply make sure that you have enabled the "add sales to a table" feature int he manager's menu to activate that feature. Also, activate the "tabs" feature to enable the tabs feature.

No. Technical support is free for both billiard Business Solutions and Sales Tracker POS software. There's two ways to receive support. We offer tool free technical support and live chat via the support forums. For the support chat, you will need to have a free account with our support forums.
